High Chai: Indian Afternoon Tea

Begin the new year with a "Culinary Adventure!"

The innovative culinary skills of chef Anita Jaisinghani and her daughter Ajna Jai are on display at a companion event to a brand new “Chai” Video Mini Series launched by Archaeology Now in the coming week. This in-person event at the Bake Lab at critically-acclaimed Pondicheri Restaurant will acquaint participants with sweet and savory foods that are part of an afternoon Indian high tea. Learn how Britain and Indian had a profound influence on each other, creating customs that became ingrained in each culture. Included in your experience are a chai tasting, a chai cocktail, three sweet bites, three savory bites and a chai spice blend for takeaway. Chef Anita will talk about the history of chai and discuss all the spices used in the preparation of masala chai.

NEW REMOTE OPTION OFFERED
We have just arranged a remote option to participate in this event. For the same ticket price, you may pick up a box of everything included in the event -- with the exception of alcohol for the cocktail. Please select "remote ticket" option when purchasing. You may pick up your box at Pondicheri on Sunday morning from 9am to noon on January 9. Your Zoom link will be sent with your order confirmation.
