Admit it. As logical as you might be, as practical as you might like to think yourself, in your heart of hearts, you like to imagine that there is a beautiful gentle animal living in a glade, undisturbed, in the depths of the forest. In the medieval world, a world beset by plague and warfare, when belief in unicorns was at its height, the animal symbolized purity and innocence.
Maybe we need unicorns today.
