Feast like a Mughal prince!

Discover an intense flowering of cuisine that developed in Mughal India. Trade along the Spice Route, diplomacy, and political networks brought an array of new flavors, ingredients, and preparation techniques in the days when a treaty often meant much better food on the dinner table!  A Zoom talk by Indian archaeologist, Dr. Namita Sugandhi will take place at Bombay Brasserie and will tell the story of Mughlai cuisine.

The Mughal court was supplied with a variety of lavish dishes developed by talented royal chefs who delighted in showing off their expertise.  Today’s menus still feature many Mughlai dishes and we will sample examples of their culinary skill.

Here is what is on the menu:
Samosas
Chicken Korma
Baingan Bharta

Malai Kofta
Yellow Dhal

Rice
Naan/Onion Kulcha/Roti
Raita
Kulfe and Kheer
Shiraz wine with Rosewater

At the end of the afternoon, we will send you home with a traditional Mughlai recipe so that you may continue your royal experience!

Enjoy a bite of history!
