The idea of bringing the best from the past to build a successful future is contained in the West African word sankofa, which can be translated as “go back and get it.” During AIA Houston’s 50th anniversary year, we celebrate the wisdom of our ancestors, the stories of their lives, and the gifts that they have given us for our journey into the future
