Let’s Build a Mudhif!

As we anxiously await the transport of our container of reed from the Port of Houston to Rice University, we’re sending out the message to volunteers across Houston and the US. Come to Houston to help build a mudhif!

We anticipate unloading the container at Rice University on Sunday, June 18, 2023. Then, we’ll have to prep the site by creating holes to receive reed columns which will take two to three days! Construction is planned to start June 18.

We invite you to join us! We will need at least seven volunteers every day. No special training or skills are necessary. Select a time that is convenient for you by clicking on the link below.

Our site is located on the campus of Rice University at 2300 University Blvd at the traffic light at the intersection of University and Stockton Street, Houston, TX 77005.
