Mudhif Construction

The construction of a mudhif, utilizing authentic materials from Iraq that were assembled into components and shipped to Houston, has been an incredible project involving many communities. However, the prime effort and muscle has come from energy and enthusiasm of Houston’s diverse Iraqi community. Iraqis in Houston hail from many parts of the country. Most significantly, there is a group of people from the marshes and this project is their story.
