Sailing Like a Viking
Louise Henriksen
Ms. Henriksen received her Master’s degree from Copenhagen University in history and philosophy with a thesis on “The Viking Age in 17th century Historiography.” Currently, Louise is Curator for Exhibitions at the Museum and is in charge of all facets of planning and presenting exhibitions, education, lectures, publications, and the development and presentation of events for Museum guests. In 2007-2008, Henriksen was the Museum Curator for the Sea Stallion project. Her responsibilities included serving as liaison with the Danish and international press, collaboration with the BBC film crew, development of the Sea Stallion website and development of educational projects associated with the Sea Stallion. Perhaps most importantly, Louise was part of an adventure of a lifetime as part of the crew that sailed the Sea Stallion from Denmark to Dublin.
