Houston Gothic:  An Architectural Tour

The Metropolis, Randall Davis Image

Gothic architectural elements still influence our world today and Houston has fascinating expressions of this architectural style, inspired by Notre-Dame de Paris.  Explore its presence in Houston, in some of the most surprising spaces, on a bus tour that ends with wine, cheese, and discussion.

We will be visiting St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, buildings at Rice University, and some commercial buildings as well as the tiny little German church at the Heritage Society. It’s a wide range of the wacky and the transcendent.
